How To - Attaching a Cord or Ribbon

This short guide was written to be used with small patches that have already had a hole punched in them, therefore may not be useful for all projects.

Option 1

Step 1 - Thread your cord/ribbon through the whole in your patch and then through the whole in your metal bookmark

Step 2 - Tie a knot in the end of the cord/ribbon to secure

Option 2

Step 1 - Fold your ribbon/cord in half and then thread this through the hole in the patch, leaving a small loop This might be a bit tricky but you can use your needle to help you

Step 2 - Thread the ends of your cord/ ribbon through this loop

Step 3 - Thread your bookmark on and then tie a knot in the ends You can also thread a couple of beads onto the cord or ribbon if you would like to add another pop of colour
